4 DOLLAR SUPREME T- SHIRTS @KMART - GOLDEN MISHAP
August 03, 2017On Reddit r/streetwear, a user named cokeslurpees posted a picture of what appears to be Supreme tagged blank t-shirts in Kmart which is equivalent to Jusco, Aeon and Tesco in Malaysia.
Here is the gist of it :
American Apparel closed down all it's outlets, so they have a lot of extra t-shirts to letgo.Kmart quickly saw the potential and bought the excess blank shirts without knowing the Brand tagged on them.
Each only selling for $4 max, converted to RM17!
They had them in many colours like teal, white, black and more.
Backstory :
Supreme had been speculated to have been printing their t-shirts on either Gildan and even American Apparel. So a lot of people have kind of confirmed that American Apparel has been supplying Supreme for their blanks. Now :
People are buying literally dozens of them at once just to resell. In my opinion, I would probably do the exact same thing.Resell prices are going upwards of $45 up to $60 because of the Supreme Tag.
Haters :
Based on the video listed here, people have been so butthurt to see this that they cut off the tags and wrote L meaning "loss" or equivalent to basically a bad scene. Such childish moves to be doing in a local store. Conclusion :
I don't see any wrong with reselling if you're worried about that. Who wouldn't do the same, be honest with yourself. Buy small, sell big. Also if there's a potential or certain demand, why the hell not.Tesco, Aeon, Giant, get these shirts omg need these type of mishaps in Malaysia! Not people throwing slippers at a car. But yeah, to the people that bought all the shirts, salute for being up to date on the scene. For real, love the drama :)
